The KFC T20 Big Bash League is starting on the 20th of December and the excitement indeed has no bounds. The T20 league will have several international players who will be playing with one of the best Australian local cricketers. The Big Bash League is one of the most awaited series and is guaranteed to be full of entertainment. The matches will be broadcasted on FOX Sports Exclusively and will take place during the Christmas-New Year time.
The main Partner of the T20 Big Bash League is KFC and will be backing up the league with all their support. KFC is the commercial partner of the League along with Toyota. On the other hand, Network Ten, ESPN Star Sports and ABC Grand Stand are the media partners of the series. The league has another partner for accessories which are KooGa and New Era which specialize in sports accessories.
The teams which reach the finals will be qualified to play Champions League T20 Tournament. This BBL has made a change in their pattern by increasing the number of matches from thirty one to thirty five which has given every team four home games.
The league will have eight teams participating in it which will be Melbourne Stars, Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Renegades, Adelaide Stickers, Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder. All the teams are as good as the others and all of them will be eying the Big Bash League’s Trophy. The enthusiasm between the teams is building up at a fast rate and the fans have started buying tickets already.
The inaugural match of the series will be held on the 20th of December 2013 between the Melbourne Stars and the Melbourne Renegades. The series of excitement and curiosity will start with this match and they will go on till 7th of February which will be the Big Finals of the Big Bash League series. The series will be played in eight rounds and each of the rounds will have four matches each. These rounds will end on the 27th of Jan with the match being played between the Melbourne Stars and the Perth Scorchers. The Big Semi Finals and the Finals will soon follow after that match. Throughout in the eight rounds, the team which wins the match will score two points each. And at the end, the team with maximum points will qualify for the Big Semi Finals. Then, the teams with the 1st and the 2nd rank in the Big Semi Finals will be qualified for the finals of the series.
The matches will be played in the home grounds of the teams and so these matches will be played in the eight grounds depending upon the teams which are playing. All the grounds are well developed and have the capacity of holding thousands of people for one match. These stadiums have hosted the best of matches and have created history. In spite of most of the grounds being more than a decade old, they have been maintained very nicely and still provide the best facilities for the audiences.
