Born in Liverpool in Australia, Clarke took Cricket as a passion and pursued it. As a young man Clarke could do anything to bat. As time goes he evolved as a mature, reliable and focused players. He was given a task to lead his team from the trough. While he could clear the boundaries Clarke focused on hitting through the gaps in the fields. He has a potential to develop as a master in test batting, At the end the year 2009 he took the No.1 position from Ponting and showed his level to be a reliable batsman. After a nervous breakdown in personal life that didn’t even affect Clarke’s performance in cricket .Jan 19 2003 was an early promising start for Clarke where he made his debut in the Australian team in the VB series, which he steered the team to victory against England. Until 2004 Clarke didn’t find out his bowling he took 6 for 9 wickets. Australian audiences were treated to another mind boggling performance from the little pup when he took a stunning century against New Zeland in Brisbane, he strokes 141 runs to revive Australia from 128 for 4. During the Ashes series of the year 2009 he as the highest run scorer of all but for a bad luck he couldn’t get the cup for the team, In the same year he took charge of the team T20 captain but his back problem returned forcing him to miss the team performance for ICC champions trophy of 2009 and series against Sri Lanka. Still he is third Australian captain to take the score of 379 after Bob Simpson and Mark Taylor to score a triple century. His unbeaten century helped Australia thrash India by 68 runs. Still the team needs such a captain to lead them to victory with all his experience.
