Melbourne Cricket Ground is a stadium which is abbreviated as MCG and is situated in Melbourne, Australia. The stadium has been used to host not only cricket matches but it also has been used to host football matches, hence it can be considered as a multiple sports ground. The stadium has been built in the year 1854 with as expenditure of Australian $150,000,000 for the development of southern stand and $445,000,000 for the development of northern stand. The stadium possesses of a capacity of over 100,000 audiences and is considered to be the tenth largest stadium in the world. The stadium is owned by Government of Victoria and is operated by Melbourne Cricket Club.
