Over the last few years, India have improved drastically as a complete team unit with each department excelling in each section. The net result is that the team doesn’t have to rely too much on unexpected run-flow down the order or by the tailenders for 9th wicket. Because the likes of Dhoni, Raina and Kohli continue to shine scoring heavy runs out in the middle. In fact, since World T20 2010, India have never lost 8 wickets in any World T20 match. The most run in a single world T20 match was recorded by Zaheer Khan and Rohit Sharma for 36-run stand for the 9th wicket in a match against Australia in 2010 T20 World Cup.
In the last two editions of the T20 world cup, India have never lost 8 wickets in any match. They have been playing excellently across formats and not to forget that India are currently number one ranked team in T20 latest rankings as declared by the ICC a day back. However, only once out of 5 times did India score plus 30 run partnership for the 9th wicket in any world T20 match. But as long as India’s top order scores runs there is nothing to worry about.
