India’s strong middle order and skilled batsmen never let the team down on too many occasions in the World T20 Championship. India’s powerful top order batsmen helped the team out either batting first or second most of the times. Indian Cricket team had been really lucky that the batsmen gave their best at T20 World Cup. Statistically speaking, only 8 times India have lost 6 wickets in world T20 matches.
India’s seventh wicket partnership had never been successful enough to build 50-run partnership ever in this coveted championship. During T20 World championship 2012, in the match against Australia, Indian duo of R Ashwin and Suresh Raina managed to put 33 runs in just 3.3 overs at a run-rate of 9.42 per over in Colombo. But thereafter India’s seventh wicket partnership could not even manage to put plus 30 run stand ever in the history of T20 World Cup.
