Suresh Raina helps the India team to win the 2nd ODI game - The England vs India ODI series is one of the most awaited series in the cricketing world. The Indian side after a poor Test series was under the scanner. The 1st ODI was washed out due to rain. The 2nd ODI was played in the famous stadium of Cardiff. After winning the toss the home side decided to field first. Indian team batting first once again found themselves in trouble as Shikhar Dhawan after scoring 11 and Virat Kohli got out cheaply leaving the team to a score of 19/2. Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma played some sensible cricket to bring the team back in the game. Rahane after scoring 41 runs lost his wicket leaving the team at 110/3. Rohit scored 52 runs and lost his wicket bringing in Suresh Raina and Mahendra Singh Dhoni on crease. Both the batsmen brought life in the run rate as they scored runs at great pace. Raina scored 100 in just 75 balls and Dhoni scored 52 runs to take the team to a score of 304. The partnership brought life in the game and thus provided a good position for the team. Chris Woakes took 4 wickets in the match.

Rain delayed the start of the 2nd innings and this resulted in reduction of overs. Now the match was 47 overs while the target was revised to 295 runs. Alastair Cook and Alex Hales provided a 54 runs start and Cook lost the wicket after scoring 19 runs. Mohammed Shami struck twice in the same over taking Ian Bell and Alastair Cook. Later Joe Root too lost his wicket easily leaving his team to a score of 63/3. Hales too lost his wicket in the 21st over and it was a big wicket for the visitors. Soon wickets started to fall. The team didn’t last long and was bowled out by Indians at a score of 161. Ravindra Jadeja took 4 wickets in the match. Suresh Raina was named as the man of the match as India leads the 5 match series by 1-0.
