West Indies is arriving in India to play the series of one day matches. The last series was decided in the favor of India which the home team won by a huge margin of 4-1. The first match is to be held in Kochi however the monsoon season may play a spoilt sport. It is to be scheduled on 21st November at the Nehru Stadium. The second match is to be scheduled in ACA-VCDA stadium in Vishakhapatnam on 24th of November. The matches would be interesting and series is bound to be a cliff hanger. The last match is scheduled to be at Vadodra or Kanpur on Wednesday 27th November. India and West Indies keenly fought the series when India visited the latter in 2013. It had a triangular contest with Sri Lanka. India came out trumps when they defeated West Indies in the league games.

West Indies started with a solid reply and Johnson Charles made 97 runs in 100 balls. They were coasting to victory in an easy and hassle free manner but Umesh Yadav pulled them back by snaring 3 wickets. West Indies just scraped through by one wicket and India lost the match. In the Round 2 of the triangular contest, India made a huge score of 311 runs against the West Indies. Due to rain the match was curtailed and the home team could muster only 171 runs in the allotted 34 over. India won by 102 runs and it went a long way in pushing the team to the finals where it played against Sri Lanka.
