Twenty-twenty cricket is all about batting. Even after the loss of first three wickets the contest stays on. There have been numerous occasions when batting team lose its first three wickets too quickly yet the middle order fought back helping the batting team put a strong total on scoreboard. Since the inception of the ICC World T20 championship in the year 2007, four batting pairs have successfully put more than hundred-run stands four times in the history taking the team out of danger.
Then we also have the instances of short yet useful half century partnerships for the fourth wicket in T20 cricket indicating the advantages of having a reliable and experienced middle order. In the case of India, the likes of Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina contributed well with the bat in those dire and tough situations when the team lost their first three wickets soon.
