The largest celebration in sports is the Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in the cricketing world and its 11th edition is going to be held in August-September in 2023. For the CPL T20 championship, 6 cricket clubs from six different Caribbean locations take part every year. Since its inception, the league has successfully completed its 10 editions and in 2023, it will be its 11th edition. Last year, Jamaica Tallawahs lifted the title of CPL.
CPL 2023 Venues
The locations and schedule for the 2023 Republic Bank CPL have been officially announced. The competition will take place in Saint Lucia, St. Kitts & Nevis, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago, and Guyana from August 16 to September 24, 2023. The first match of the tournament was contested between Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs at Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Gros Islet on 16 August 2023.

CPL 2023 Teams
1. Barbados Royals
The former South African cricketer, David Miller will take responsibility for the Barbados Royals under the guidance of Trevor Penney as a head coach. The team is officially owned by Manoj Badale who also owned Rajasthan Royals in IPL.
Kensington Oval is the home ground of the Barbados Royals which has a capacity of 11,000. In 2014 and 2019, Barbados Royals lifted the title of CPL.
2. Guyana Amazon Warriors
Shimron Hetmyer is the current captain of the Guyana Amazon Warriors whereas Rayon Griffith handles the coaching department of the squad. Providence Stadium is the home ground of the Warriors where they play their home matches.
Guyana Ranjisinghi Ramroop is the owner of the Guyana Amazon Warriors. Lendl Simmons is the highest run maker whereas Imran Tahir is the leading wicket-taker of the team.
3. Jamaica Tallawahs
Jamaica Tallawahs is one of the 6 teams that take part in CPL under the captaincy of Rovman Powell. The team is guided by a former West Indies left-handed batsman, Shivnarine Chanderpaul.
Jamaica Tallawahs is one of the most successful teams of the CPL that has lifted the title 3 times in 2013, 2016, and 2022. Sabina Park and Central Broward Regional Park with a capacity of 15,600 is the home ground of Jamaica Tallawahs.
4. St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots is captained by Dwayne Bravo under the guidance of Simon Helmot. The team was founded in 2015 and its ownership was bought by Mahesh Ramani. Warner Park, Basseterre is the home ground of the team and they have successfully achieved the title of CPL in 2021.
Evin Lewis with 1702 is the highest run maker whereas Sheldon Cottrell with 61 wickets is the leading wicket-taker of the team.
5. Saint Lucia Kings
A South African batter, Faf du Plessis is the captain of the Saint Licua Kings under the coaching of Daren Sammy as a head coach. Darren Sammy Stadium with a capacity of 15,000 is the home ground of the Kings.
Andre Fletcher with 2299 runs is the highest run-maker whereas Kesrick Williams with 44 wickets is the leading wicket-taker of the Saint Lucia Kings.
6. Trinbago Knight Riders
Kieron Pollard is the current captain of the Trinbago Knight Riders whereas Abhishek Nayar handles the responsibility of the coaching department. Knight Riders Group purchased the official ownership of the Knight Riders. Queen's Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy is the home ground of the team where they play their home matches.
It is the most successful team in the CPL which won the CPL title 4 times in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020. Colin Munro with 1881 runs is the leading run maker whereas Dwayne Bravo with 106 wickets is the leading wicket-taker for the Knight Riders.

CPL 2023 Fixtures
The first 6 matches of the CPL will be held in Saint Lucia at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground, Gros Islet where the home team the Saint Lucia Kings will play their 4 matches. These matches will be played from 16 August 2023 to 20 August 2023.
Then the CPL will move to Saint Lucia Kings in order to play 6 matches at Warner Park Stadium, Saint Kitts from 23 August 2023 to 27 August 2023.
The next 6 matches of the CPL 2023 will be conducted at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados from 30 August 2023 to 3 September 2023.
Afterward, all the teams will move to Trinidad & Tobago for the next 6 matches of the CPL which will be played from 5 September 2023 to 10 September 2023.
The last phase of the tournament will take place in Guyana where the teams will be busy in playing the next 6 matches along with the Eliminator, Qualifier, and Final competition at Providence Stadium, Guyana from 13 September 2023 to 24 September 2023.
