Chris Jordan Shines with the ball as Lankans register their lowest score - England and Sri Lanka ODI series is nothing less than two pirates fighting it out on the deck after few drinks. The first match England beat Sri Lanka dramatically the next match Sri Lanka beat England ruthlessly. The third match was expected to be an even affair but yet again the expectations were murdered as England beat the visitors in low scoring match. The Sri Lankan after losing the toss were put into bat first. The conditions were helpful for the bowlers and he English bowlers showed good performance with the ball as the Lankans registered their lowest total against England. The openers didn’t last long and both were in the pavilion in the first five overs of the game. The heavily experienced middle order which comprises of players like Kumar Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardene, Angelo Mathews and Dinesh Chandimal failed to bat it out as the middle order collapsed. After 20 overs the team managed to score only 60 runs losing 6 main wickets. The downfall continued as the tail only managed to score 7 more runs and lasted 4 more overs before getting all out for 67. Chris Jordan was the star bowler for England as he took 5 wickets. Sangakkara was the top scorer for his team as he managed to score on 13 runs.

Chasing such a small target is pretty easy task at hand and the English team did that in style without losing a single wicket. In just 12.1 over the English team scored 73 runs. Alistair Cook scored 30 runs and Ian Bell scored 41 runs as the team chased down the score comfortably with 227 balls remaining. Chris Jordan won the man of the match award for his bowling.
