R. Premadasa Stadium is a cricket stadium which is located in Maligawatta in Colombo, Sri Lanka. R. Premadasa is an abbreviation used for Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium. The stadium was established in the year 1986 and was initially known as Khettarama Stadium; nowadays it is also referred as Premadasa Stadium only. The stadium consists of the sitting arrangement for maximum 35,000 audiences at a time. The stadium possesses of two bowling ends which are named as Khettarama End and Scoreboard End. The stadium is owned and operated by Sri Lanka Cricket. The stadium has hosted all three formats of international cricket and was internationally inaugurated in a ODI match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on March 9, 1986.
