Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium, located in Ahmadabad, Gujarat was founded in the year 1965 and is one among the home fields for the cricket team of Gujarat. The stadium was the one to host the 1st ODI match in India that was held in the year 1981 between India & England and comes with a capacity of 50,000 spectators. However, with the foundation of newer Motera cricket stadium, the Ahmedabad ground has been discontinued from hosting the international matches. Presently it’s a regular ground for the domestic cricket matches. The ground is backed by floodlight facilities for the day & night matches.
