In the 31st match of IPL 7 KINGS XI PUNJAB got a big win over ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE as they beat RCB by 32 runs to stay in the top of the points table. Earlier in the game Bangalore won the toss and elected to field first at their home ground, M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Well, KXIP as usual scored a huge total of 198 runs by losing 8 wickets as David Miller produced some thriller by scoring 66 runs in just 29 balls. Virender Sehwag and Mandeep Singh opened the innings for KXIP unwaveringly, Sehwag scored a valuable 30 runs in 24 balls and Mandeep (21 of 15 balls) supported him well to start the innings for KXIP without any complication. The big man for Punjab this year Glenn Maxwell showed some sort of his blizzard as he scored quick 25 runs in just 11 balls. However, Mitchell Johnson ended the innings of KXIP in style as he scored 16 of 12 balls with a huge six and a decent four.

Yet again Yuzvendra Chahal bowled a delicate spell as he claimed 2 important wickets of Virender Sehwag and Glenn Maxwell by just considering 23 runs while other bowlers of RCB were so much expensive except Albie Morkel (4-20-1). Harshal Patel and Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets each but they were so expensive during the first innings as they conceded 56 runs and 43 runs respectively.

While chasing a big target of 199 runs BANGALORE fans expected some Gayle storm in their home ground but RCB yet again started their innings so poorly as they lost 4 early wickets of Chris Gayle ( 4 of 7 balls), Parthiv Patel (W) (13 of 14 ball), Virat Kohli (C) (0 of 1 ball) and Sachin Rana (18 of 16 balls). Yuvraj Singh once again failed to produce any “Yuvraj” kind of performance as he went early by just scoring 3 runs in 11 balls. Only, AB de Villiers played a classy knock of 53 runs of 26 balls but only his formidable innings couldn’t help RCB to chase such a huge score in any venue of T20 format. Well, in the near end of the second innings Mitchell Starc scored some runs to soothe the audience of Bangalore.

The home grown talented boy for Punjab, Sandeep Sharma gave an extraordinary performance as he took 3 wickets to clear up the top order of RCB and Chris Gayle was dismissed once again for the second time in IPL 7 by Sandeep Sharma. Shivam Sharma and Lakshmipathy Balaji also shared 4 wickets equally. Never the less Akshar Patel bowled another decent spell for KXIP as he took 1 wicket with the economy rate of 5.50.

Sandeep Sharma was given the Man of the Match award as he helped to restrict RCB of 166 runs.
