Afghanistan is the fifth nation participating in the
Asia Cup 2014 with the other four nations India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh. The first opening match of the series is played between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The ODI on 3rd march 2014 will be held between Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka at Sher-e-Bangla, Mirpur. It is a 50 over tournament held all day and night. This ODI series is interesting than the other matches and cricket lovers wait eagerly for these matches.
Afghanistan is growing faster through its performance as it has achieved a position in Asia Cup and then consecutively qualified for World Cup 2015 and World T20 2014. It is a smart move for Afghanistan team to make forward way for themselves in the coming years.
Whereas, Sri Lankan team is experienced and has been the wining team of Asia Cup 2008. It would be great to see both the team against each other. The win for Afghanistan will prove to be advantageous as they are growing steadily while if Sri Lanka wins it would the second title to its name. Sri Lanka will prove to be a good competitor to Afghanistan and it would be fun to watch them playing against each other.
