Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium is purely cricket hosting ground which is located in Mirpur, Dhaka in Bangladesh. The stadium was initially known as Mirpur Stadium but later on it was renamed as Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in the memory of Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Haq. The stadium was established in the year 2006 was internationally inaugurated by an One Day International between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe on December 8, 2006 and first test match played on this ground was between Bangladesh and India on May 25, 2007. The ends of the stadium are beautiful Bangladesh End and Eastern Housing End and the stadium possesses a capacity of 26,000 spectators.
