A batsman in cricket reaches a century when they score 100 runs or more in a single innings. A batter hundred is considered an important milestone, and the overall number of centuries is usually included in their professional stats. Australia's Big Bash Battle (BBL) is a commercial twenty-20 cricket competition running yearly since its inaugural season in 2011–12. As of 2023, 36 centuries were achieved by the batters in the BBL. Each of the eight of the clubs' special teams has produced hundreds.
Glenn Maxwell, the captain of the Melbourne Stars, struck the highest Individual score of 154* runs as of 2023. Craig Simmons from Perth Scorchers registered the fastest hundred in BBL.

1. Craig Simmons
Craig Simmons registered his name for a record of making the fastest century in the history of the Big Bash League. He achieved this feat from 39 balls while playing against Adelaide Strikers in the 2014 BBL. On 16 Jan 2014, Adelaide Strikers faced Perth Scorchers on the home ground of the Scorchers. Perth Scorchers got the opportunity to bat first and they added 203 runs on the scoreboard. Craig Simmons, a legendary cricketer, made a super effort and added the fastest hundred in the history of BBL, he added a total of 102 runs by hitting eight 4s and eight 6s at a strike rate of 248.78. In reply, Adelaide got a good start and they maintained the required run rate but they could make only 198 runs and lost the match by 5 runs. Craig Simmons was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player in that game.
2. Glenn Maxwell
Glenn Maxwell, an Australian all-round performer is holding the 2nd place for making the fastest century in Big Bash League. He made this feat from 41 balls while playing against Hobart Hurricanes in the 56th match of the BBL. Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes faced each other for the 56th encounter of BBL on 19th January 2022 in Melbourne. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and their captain, Matthew Wade invited the opposition to bat first. Melbourne Stars got an excellent start by Maxwell and Clarke who added 97 runs for the 1st wicket. The rest of the work has been done by Glenn Maxwell who contributed unbeaten 154 runs from just 64 balls. This helped Melbourne to reach a huge total of 273 runs. In reply, Hobart Hurricanes could not handle the pressure of that big target and made only 167 runs, thus Melbourne won the match by a big margin of 106 runs. Glen Maxwell was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player.
3. Luke Wright
The opening batter of Melbourne Stars is standing in the 3rd place for making the fastest century in BBL. He made an incredible 100 runs from just 44 balls while playing against Hobart Hurricanes in Hobart. When Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes met each other on 9 January 2012, Melbourne’s skipper Cameron White went for the bat first after winning the toss and they added 203 runs on the scoreboard. Luke Wright who came out to open the innings made an excellent effort and added 117 runs from just 60 balls. Both the openers gave a wonderful start and contributed 172 runs for the 1st wicket. Hobart got the target of 204 runs at the run rate of over 10 per over. Hobart could not get the start that they needed and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and could make 184 runs. Thus, Melbourne won the match by 19 runs and Luke Wright was named Man of the Match.
4. Ben McDermott
Ben McDermott, a performer of the Hobart Hurricanes is listed at the number 4 place for making the fastest century in Big Bash League. He accomplished this achievement in just 47 balls while playing against Melbourne Renegades in 2017. Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Renegades faced each other in the 24th match of BBL in Melbourne where the Hurricanes won and toss and went for the field first. While batting first, the Renegades got an average start but Aaron Finch and Tom Cooper made an excellent effort and helped their team to reach a total of 222 runs. In reply, Hobart did not get a good start and they lost their 2 quick wickets at 19. Then Ben McDermott at number 3 and George Bailey at number 4 position added a crucial partnership of 151 runs that helped them to achieve the target and won the match by 2 wickets. Ben McDermott contributed 114 runs in 52 balls and was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player in that game.
5. Callum Ferguson
Callum Ferguson, a batter from Sydney Thunders is standing at the number 5th position for hitting the fastest hundred in BBL. He made this effort in 48 balls while performing against Perth Scorchers in 2019. In the 41st match of the BBL on 24 January 2019 in Perth, Sydney and Perth met each other where Sydney Thunders won the toss and decided to chase the target. While batting first, Perth Scorchers added 181 runs on the scoreboard due to an excellent knock of Shaun Marsh who added unbeaten 96 runs in 55 balls only. When Sydney Thunders came out to chase the target, they lost their captain’s wicket very early at 18 runs but then Matthew Gilkes and Callum Ferguson dealt with the situation very cleverly and added 120 runs in pairs for the 2nd wicket. This helped them to achieve the target and won the match by 6 wickets. Callum Ferguson was named Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player of the Game for his 113 runs in that match.
