Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful teams in the Indian Premier League which has won the IPL title 4 times in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. The team is currently captained by the former Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni under the guidance of Stephen Fleming as a head coach. The club's proprietors' engagement in the 2013 IPL gambling scandal resulted in a two-year expulsion from the IPL, which began in July 2015. 1. Murali Vijay

Murali Vijay is sitting at the number 1 position for hitting the fastest century in IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He achieved this feat in just 46 balls while playing against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2010. In the 32nd match of the IPL in Chennai on 03 April 2010, Chennai faced Rajasthan Royals where CSK decided to bat first after winning the toss and added 246 for 5 on the scoreboard. Throughout the CSK innings, Murali Vijay showed an outstanding performance with the bat and scored 127 runs in 56 balls with eight 4s and eleven 6s at a strike rate of 226.78. When Rajasthan came to chase the target, they could make 223 runs and thus lost the match by 23 runs. At the end of the match, Murali Vijay was chosen Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player. 

2. Mike Hussey

Mike Hussey is sitting in the 2nd position for making the fastest century for CSK in the Indian Premier League. He achieved this feat in just 50 deliveries while performing against King XI Punjab in IPL 2008. In the 2nd match of the IPL 2008, Chennai and Punjab faced each other in Mohali on 19 April 2008. CSK won the toss and decided to bat first and thus they scored 240 runs in which Michael Hussey performed very well with the bat. He added unbeaten 116 runs off 54 balls with eight 4s and nine 6s at a strike rate of 214.81 that helped the CSK to cross the 200+ mark. In reply, Punjab got a good start but could not maintain the momentum and lost the match by 33 runs. At the end of the match, Mike Hussey became the Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player. 

3. Shane Watson

A former Australian all-round performer, Shane Watson is standing in 3rd place for making the fastest 100 in IPL for CSK. Shane Watson achieved this feat in only 51 deliveries while playing against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2018. Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals met each other for the 17th T20 of the IPL 2018 in Pune on 20 April 2018 where Rajasthan won the toss and invited CSK to bat first. While batting first, CSK openers Watson and Rayudu gave a good start and thus CSK  added a total of 204 runs on the scoreboard. Shane Watson showed his incredible batting performance by contributing crucial 106 runs from just 57 balls with nine 4s and six 6s at a strike rate of 185.96. In reply, Rajasthan could make only 140 runs and lost the match by 64 runs, thus making Watson the Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player. 

4. Murali Vijay

The former right-handed batter of the Indian team, Murali Vijay is holding the 4th position in the list of fastest centuries in IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He achieved this feat from 51 balls while playing against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2012. At the home ground of CSK in Chennai, CSK and DC met each other for the 2nd Qualifying match of the IPL 2012 on 25 May 2012. Delhi Capitals won the toss and decided and invited its opponent to bat first. CSK openers especially Murali Vijay gave a fantastic start that helped them to add 222 runs on the scoreboard. Murali Vijay was phenomenal with the bat and struck 113 from just 53 balls with fifteen 4s and four 6s at a strike rate of 194.82. In reply, Delhi Capitals made 136 runs and lost the match by 86 runs. Murali Vijay was chosen as the Man of the Match and Most Valuable Player of that game. 

5. Shane Watson

Shane Watson is listed in the number 5th position for making the fastest 100 in IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He achieved this fastest century in IPL for CSK from just 51 balls while playing against Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2018. In the final encounter of the IPL 2018 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, CSK and Sunrisers Hyderabad faced each other on 27 May 2018. Chennai won the toss and invited Hyderabad to abt first. Chennai performed well with the ball and stopped Hyderabad at 178. In reply, CSK did not feel any great struggle while chasing and achieved the victory by 8 wickets in 18.3 overs. Shane Watson came out as a key player for CSK. He made 117 runs in 57 balls with eleven 4s and eight 6s at a strike rate of 205.26 and became the Man of the Match for his match-winning strike.
