1. Suresh Raina

Suresh Raina is sitting at the top position for making the fastest 50 in IPL for CSK and he did this feat from 16 balls while playing against Kings XI in Mumbai. In the qualifier round of the IPL 2014, Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings XI faced each other in Mumbai where Punjab set a massive target of 227 runs for CSK. In reply, CSK batters could not reply very well excluding Suresh Raina who struck 87 runs off just 25 balls with twelve 4s and Six 6s at a strike rate of 348.00 but could not get the victory for his team. 

2. Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali, an all-round performer of the CSK, comes in the 2nd position for making the fastest 50 in the history of IPL for Chennai. He accomplished this achievement while playing against Rajasthan Royals in Mumbai in IPL 2022. In the 68th match of the IPL 2022 in Mumbai on May 20, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings faced each other where CSK added 150 for 6 while playing first. Despite getting a bad start, Moeen Ali handled the inning from one hand and struck 93 runs from 57 balls with thirteen 4s and three 6s at a strike rate of 163.15 that helped them to reach a total of 150 but it was not enough to win the match.

3. Ajinkya Rahane

Ajinkya Rahane comes in the 3rd position for making the fastest 50 in the history of the Indian Premier League for CSK. In 2023, Rahane seems to be in a new avatar who has broken the record of MS Dhoni and comes in the 3rd position for making 50 runs from 19 balls. He has done this feat in the T20 against Mumbai Indians in the home ground of MI where Mumbai set a target of 158 for Chennai. In reply, after losing Convey very soon, Rahane controlled the situation along with Rituraj and added 61 runs from 27 balls that helped them to achieve the target in 18.1 overs. 

4. MS Dhoni

The CSK skipper, MS Dhoni is in the number 4th position for making the fastest 50 in the history of IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He achieved this feat while playing against Mumbai Indians in Bangalore in IPL 2012. In the final competition of the IPL 2012, CSK and MI faced each other for the championship in Bengaluru on May 23, 2012. Chennai got the chance to bat first and they added 187 runs on the scoreboard where Dhoni contributed unbeaten 51 runs from 20 balls with six 4s and two 6s at a strike rate of 255.00. In reply, Mumbai could not perform well and lost the match by 38 runs and Dhoni became the Man of the Match in that final competition.

5. Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu is in the 5th position for making the fastest 50 in the history of IPL for Chennai Super Kings. He did this feat off 20 balls while playing against Mumbai Indians in 2021. Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings met each other in the 27th match of the IPL 2021 in Delhi on May 01, 2021, where CSK added a big total of 218 runs on the scoreboard and Rayudu contributed 72 runs from 27 balls only with four 4s and seven 6s at a strike rate of 266.66. Despite adding a big total on the scoreboard, CSK could not save the match and lost it by 4 wickets.
