The second match of the Asia Cup 2014 is to be played in Fatullah between India and Bangladesh. The round-robin tournament, Asia Cup, played among the ACC member nations has India as the most successful team with five titles to its credit. India has won the Asia Cup in the years 1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995 and 2010. India has appeared in most of the Asia Cup tournament except for the ones held in 1986 as well the cancelled one in 1993 due to political reasons. With the absence of Sachin Tendulkar from the Indian squad it will be a tournament of much anticipation for the Indian fans. Fingers crossed! With a great performance in the 2012 Asia Cup, when the side took Pakistan in the final only to lose by a meagre two runs, Bangladesh must surely be hoping to clinch the tournament this year. The Bangladeshi team has shown improvement last year owing to the performance it has put up in one day international matches especially at home ground. Needless to say what benefit the venue can bring to them. Captain Mushfiqur Rahim is sure to capitalize on that. With a player like Sohag Gazi, who has put up an impressive play, the Bangladeshi side looks positively geared up.
