Young players of Rajasthan make them win the 1st match of CLT20 - The Opener of the Champions League T20 was played between the two giants from Indian Premiere League Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. The opener of the match was played in the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. It was a home game for the Royals and after winning the toss the team decided to field first. The team got its 1st success in the 2nd over as Dwayne Smith lost his wicket after scoring 9 runs. Just at the start of the last over of the power play the Mumbai Indians lost their 2nd wicket in the form of Dinesh Karthik. The Royals were on a cruise as they took 2 more wickets which was the wicket of Sachin Tendulkar. After scoring 15 runs the master lost his wicket. Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard managed to save the falling apart of the innings. Rohit scored 44 runs while Pollard scored 42 runs in the match. These two batsmen took their team to a score of 142 runs in 20 overs. Vikramjeet Malik took 3 wickets in the match.

The Rajasthan Royals got off to a bad start as the 2nd over the innings saw the fall of the wicket of Rahul Dravid. He scored only 1 runs in the game. Later Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson built the platform for their team. They took the team to a score of 79/2 in 11.2 overs. Rahane after scoring 33 runs left the wicket while Samson carried on and lost his wicket in the 16th over after scoring 54 runs. Later the match was finished by Shane Watson and Stuart Binny as they both scored 27 runs to take their team cross the required target with 2 balls remaining in the match. Rishi Dhawan managed to take 1 wicket giving away only 17 runs. Vikramjeet Malik was named as the man of the match for his outstanding bowling.
