County Ground Bristol

The County Ground is the cricket ground of England located in the Swindon region. It is one of the oldest grounds in England and established in the year 1896. The seating capacity of the stadium is just 14,700 but measures are taken to extend the stadium so that it can accommodate more people. Earlier this stadium was used for football matches from 1893 to 1896 but later on cricket matches were also hosted at this ground. The pitch of the stadium is quite different and sometimes it becomes really difficult to get familiar with its behavior and played accordingly. The foundation of this stadium was led by the efforts made by Arkell Brewery who contributed an amount of £300 for its construction. This is how the financial needs were met and the stadium was constructed to host different kinds of matches. From time to time, changes are being incorporated like the new and better floodlights have been installed so that the view is clear and the players are able to concentrate on the game. According to the plan, the stand will also be rebuilt whose work has already started. A new look is being given to the stadium to attract the organizers to host the matches.
