Queenstown Events Centre is a popular sports stadium where a variety of activities are organized from time to time. Initially it was known as John Davies Oval but later on changed to the Queenstown Events Centre. The seating capacity of this stadium is limited to only 19,000 people and therefore steps are taken to increase its capacity. Established in the year 1997, the stadium is situated close to the Queenstown Lakes District thus catching the attention of many cricket fans and sports lovers. The venue is just perfect for indoor and outdoor games, that is why it is the best stadium of New Zealand. Several international matches are hosted on this ground with the people enjoying the views of the lake as well. Close to the stadium, there is an international airport which makes the venue even more ideal for the international games. The stadium has hosted various one day international matches and Twenty20 matches.
