The Hong Kong Cricket Team is a part of the ICC since many years. They played the first match in the year 1866 but the first one day international match was played in the year 2004. Their first ODI match was played as a part of the Asia Cup. The team is headed by their captain James Atkinson who is highly experienced and has the ability to keep the team together. Coach Charlie Burke is responsible to train the players in different fields of cricket and bring out the best from the players. Both the captain and the coach together work to assist the team in the right way so that they are able to compete with the right spirit. The Hong Kong Cricket Team has set many new records in its name with its players giving the best performance in every match they play. Some of the star performers of the team include Irfan Ahmad, Najeed Amar, Munir Dar, Hussain Butt, Asif Khan etc. who plays in the roster form. The team not only plays international cricket but also T20 matches, Acc series and many more. It is a strong team with young and talented players being an important part of it.
