The Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium, situated in Srinagar, is the home venue of J JKCA and Jammu & Kashmir cricket team that represents Jammu & Kashmir in Ranji Trophy & other different domestic cricket tournaments in India. The stadium has held 2 ODIs till date. The 1st one was India versus West Indies in the year 1983 where India emerged as winner. The second One Day international played at Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium was India against Australia in the year 1986. The stadium was under CRPF for nearly 2 decades give the severe militant activities that took place in Kashmir. But now the stadium is looking forward for more 1st class cricket matches in the upcoming season.
