The Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium is the stadium located in the Nagpur city of Maharashtra. It was established in the year 2008 by replacing the Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground which was the main cricket ground. The pitch of this stadium is ideal for test matches and that is why most of the test series have been played on this ground. Apart from hosting the international matches, different domestic series are also hosted here including the Ranji as well as the Duleep trophy. The stadium is also the home ground for the two teams; Central Zone and Vidarbha. These two teams often come here for their practice matches along with the other team members as well. It is a very big and spacious stadium with a seating capacity of 45, 000 people. There are very few cricket grounds in India which are so huge as well as fully developed. The credit of designing this stadium goes to Shashi Prabhu who had put a lot of efforts in coming up with this design. The maintenance as well as the renovation work is handled by the Vidarbha Cricket Association. As per the requirements, the changes are made so that the cricket fans can have a great time watching the match live.
