India is going to welcome New Zealand in order to play 3 ODI series between Ind and NZ in the upcoming year of 2023. As all the dates and venues of the matches have been confirmed and declared on Dec 8, 2022, BCCI has decided to conduct all the 3 ODIs in the three different stadiums in India. This Ind vs NZ ODI series 2023 will be the second domestic international session for India after Sri Lanka’s visit for 3 T20 and ODI series. The India vs New Zealand ODI series 2023 will be the beginning of the preparation for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
The India vs New Zealand ODI series 2023 will take off for its journey with the first which will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad on Jan 18, Wed. Then both teams will move to Raipur where the 2nd match of the series will be performed on Jan 21 at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. Finally, both teams will reach Indore in Madhya Pradesh where they will face each other for the last encounter of the tournament at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.
Currently, Rohit Sharma is the captain of the Indian cricket team and most probably, he will play the lead role in the upcoming ODI series, on the other hand, there is no doubt that Kane Williamson will take the charge of the Kiwis. Both the captains have maintained a nice record in ODI and have plenty of experience. In terms of ICC ranking, New Zealand is currently sitting at the number 1 position, on the other hand, the Indian team is at the number 4th position in ODI, so Men in Blue will have to prepare a strong roster to face them. So, it would be interesting to watch when the two top-class squads with the world’s top-class performers meet in the limited-overs competition in Jan-Feb 2023.
