T10 League November 2021

T Ten Sports Management in UAE has organized a T10 league tournament which is the shortest format of the game where every T20 franchise gets 10 overs to play and it has started on 19 November 2021 and will conclude on 4 December 2021. The league has already caught the full excitement among cricket lovers. The tournament is authorized and monitored by the Emirates Cricket Board in UAE. There will be 35 T10 matches including the final and all the matches will be held at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, and the final competition of the T10 league 2021 will be played on 4 December 2021. The tournament consists of the league round and then playoffs which will decide Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 2.

In the previous edition of the T10 league, Nicholas Pooran was awarded Man of the Series title, Sohail Akhtar was the leading run-scorer with 248 runs and Jamie Overton was the leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets. Northern Warriors lifted the title of Abu Dhabi T10 League in the previous edition by defeating Delhi Bulls by 8 wickets. As of November 2021, Northern Warriors is the most successful squad in the T10 League by winning two titles.

There are a total of 6 T20 squads who have taken part in the league and the name of them are Team Abu Dhabi, The Chennai Braves, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Delhi Bulls, and Northern Warriors. Maratha Arabians, Qalandars, and Pune Devils have been eliminated from the league and The Chennai Braves are the replacement of them.

First time T20 League will be played twice in the same calendar year. This year in January 2021 the 4th season of T10 League was completed successfully. It was won by Northern Warriors by 8 wickets against Delhi Bulls in the final match. Now, ADT10 has comeup with their 5th season which will start from November 19. A new T10 team has been introduced for the upcoming season. The Chennai Braves will be the latest addition to this tournament. Total 6 teams will participate in upcoming T10 league. Pune Devils, Maratha Arabians and Qalandars (Pakistan) will not participate in this edition of T10 League.

Here are the Details of the Six T10 League Teams

1. Team Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is a respected person of Abu Dhabi and a member of Presidential Affairs for the UAE is the current owner of the Team Abu Dhabi. The team entered the league under the leadership of Liam Livingstone with Paul Farbrace as a head coach.

2. The Chennai Braves

The Chennai Braves is the new squad for Abu Dhabi T10 League 2021 and is the replacement of Maratha Arabians, Qalandars, and Pune Devils. Dasun Shanaka is the current captain of the team and the team will play under the guidance of Dougie Brown as a head coach.

3. Bangla Tigers

The Bangla Tigers was founded in the year 2017 when Abu Dhabi T10 league was started. The squad will play the matches under the guidance of Stuart Law, an Australian cricket player, and Faf du Plessis will be the leader of the team.

4. Deccan Gladiators

Deccan Gladiators will fight in the tournament under the coaching of Mushtaq Ahmed who has played for Pakistan cricket as a leg break spin bowler. Wahab Riaz will play the role of the captain for the Gladiators.

5. Delhi Bulls

Andy Flower, a former captain of the Zimbabwe cricket team, will take the responsibility of coach for Delhi Bulls. The Delhi Bulls reached the finals in the last edition of the T10 League and became the runners-up. Dwayne Bravo, a West Indies all-rounder, will be the captain of the team.

6. Northern Warriors

Faisal Iqbal, a former Pakistani cricket player, will be the coach of the Warriors and Rovman Powell, a West Indies cricket player,  is the current captain of the Northern Warriors. The team has performed great since the beginning of the tournament and has lifted the trophy on two occasions, i.e 2018 and 2021.

Official Broadcasting Right

In India, the broadcasting rights have been given and signed with the Colors Cineplex, Rishtey Cineplex, and Voot (Internet). AD Sports and CricLife have got the broadcasting rights for the United Arab Emirates.

Prize Money of T10 League 2021 in Abu Dhabi

The prize money for the Abu Dhabi T10 league is kept at $100,000 for the winners in the finals.
