Marchant de Lange

Marchant de Lange is a professional South African cricketer who bowls right-arm fast and is a right-handed batsman of the tail-end. He is also known by other names like Langy, Chana and Chant. He was born on October 13, 1990 at Tzaneen in Limpoo. He made a dazzling Test debut in 2011 against Sri Lanka by taking 8 wickets for 126 in the match. His USP is fast pace accompanied by swing and accurate delivery of the ball. He was a Javelin Thrower before he took cricket as his professional career. Hence, his delivery has an average speed of 150 km/hr. He began his career with the Easterns in 2010 and he also plays for Titans since 2011. In the IPL, he has played for Kolkata Knight Riders and presently is a member of Mumbai Indians team.

• He was declared the Man of the Match in his debut ODI against New Zealand.
