Chamara Kapugedera and Angelo Matthews (80 Runs in 2016)
The combination of Chamara Kapugedera and Angelo Matthews stands at the number 2 position for hitting a record 5th wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Sri Lanka. Both the better contributed their effort of 80 runs in a pair for the 5th wicket but unfortunately, it was not enough to achieve the target of 172 against England in the 29th match of the T20 World Cup 2016.
Thisara Perera and Kumar Sangakkara (56* Runs in 2014)
The combined innings of Thisara Parera and Kumar Sangakkara is listed at the 3rd position for striking a record 5th wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Sri Lanka. While playing against India in the final encounter of the T20 World Cup 2014, Sri Lanka got the target of 130 runs which was not very big and they achieved it comfortably in 17.5 overs in which Perera and Sangakkara added unbeaten 56 runs for the 5th wicket.
Chamara Kapugedera and Angelo Matthews (80 Runs in 2010)
The duo of Chamara Kapugedera and Angelo Matthews stands at the number 4th position for adding a record 5th wicket partnership for Sri Lanka in the T20 World Cup. Sri Lanka faced India in the 23rd match of the T20 World Cup at Gros Islet where Sri Lanka got the target of 164 runs. Sri Lankan batters batted well and achieved the target in which Kapugedera and Matthews added 56 runs as a pair for the 5th wicket.

The pair of Chamara Kapugedera and Angelo Matthews is sitting at the number 5th position for making a record 5th wicket partnership in the T20 World Cup for Sri Lanka. In the 1st semi-final match of the T20 World Cup 2010 against England, Sri Lanka got the chance to bat first but they could make only 128 runs on the scoreboard which was not a big deal to achieve that target by England batters. Kapugedera and Matthews tried to strengthen the total but could make 46 runs for the 5th wicket and thus Sri Lanka lost the semi-final by 7 wickets.
