St Kitts and Nevis Patriots are a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) cricket franchise based in Saint Kitts and Nevis. The team was created in 2015 after the 2 successful seasons of CPL. The team has good experienced West Indian domestic players with a bunch of young talented and foreign players. The current captain of the team is Rayad Emrit. He played very good cricket as a captain in previous CPL seasons.
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots did not win any CPL title until now, but the team's captain is looking positive to win the CPL 2021 title. He also said that he is very happy to be named as captain one more time for St Kitts and Nevis franchise. They retained their key players like Sheldon Cottrell, Evin Lewis. The franchise has also changed head coach in this season. Simon Helmot is named as their new coach. The notable point about him as a coach is he knows how to win the CPL title, and he has experience of playing CPL. The team has also got good support from their loyal fans.

The team had got Martin Guptill and Evin Lewis as opening pair. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had won their first CPL game against Barbados Tridents. It was a good nail-biting match. St Kitts had won their first game by just 1 run. They had got their biggest victory against Jamaica Tallawahs. St Kitts had defeated Jamaica Tallawahs by 119 runs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had won their 4 league games out of 10. The team had finished the season at the bottom position on the point table. The first season was not very well for St Kitts and Nevis. The captain Marlon Samuels had scored most runs (325) for team with a batting average of 40.62.
After the disappointment in CPL 2015, the franchise had purchased some more quality players like Faf DuPlessis, Samuel Badree, and many more international players. The franchise had also changed their captain and made South African Faf DuPlessis as their new captain. The team had played worse than the 2015 CPL season. They had won only 2 games out of 10 and once again finished the 2016 CPL season at the bottom position. It was a big shame for all the big and famous international players. After 2 unsuccessful CPL season, in CPL 2017, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had invested in "The Universe Boss" Chris Gayle. They had got Chris Gayle in their side in CPL 2017, and the franchise had also given the captaincy to Chris Gayle. It was the 3rd CPL season for St Kitts and also the new captain for the new season. Chris Gayle had changed the structure and dynamics of the team. It was the first time that St Kitts and Nevis had qualified for playoffs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had won 6 matches out of 10 and finished the league stage at 2nd position for the first time in CPL history. After winning the qualifier matches, St Kitts and Nevis had reached their first-ever CPL final match under the captaincy of Chris Gayle. They had played against Trinbago Knight Riders on the night of the final. However, the team could not win the final game and had to face defeat in the final. St Kitts and Nevis had played extremely well and unpredictable cricket throughout the championship. Captain Chris Gayle had scored most runs (375) for St Kitts with a batting average of 75. It was a very good comeback season for the team.
After the success of the 2017 CPL season, St Kitts and Nevis Patriots had begun the 2018 season by maintaining Chris Gayle as the captain of the team. The team had started the season with confidence and won 5 games out of 10 and 1 match was interrupted by rain. St Kitts and Nevis had finished the league stage at 4th position and qualified for playoffs. In the eliminator match, St Kitts had defeated Jamaica Tallawahs in a high scoring game. It was a big target of 192 runs for St. Kitts to reach qualifier 2, and they had won the match by just 2 wickets. But in qualifier 2, St Kitts was defeated by Trinbago Knight Riders by 20 runs. St Kitts and Nevis Patriots could not make it up to final but finished the season at 3rd position.
The CPL 2019 was commenced with a big change of Chris Gayle for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The team had again changed its captain. West Indian all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite was named as captain for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The beginning of the season was not as good as they wanted to be for St Kitts and Nevis. The team had finished the league stage at 3rd position by winning 5 games out of 10. It was 3rd time that the team had qualified for playoffs. The team had shown very good cricket under the captaincy of Carlos Brathwaite. They had played eliminator match against Trinbago Knight Riders. The St Kitts batsmen could not score good runs and finished the inning on just 125 runs. Trinbago Knight Riders had easily won the game by 6 wickets and 8 balls spared. Therefore the journey had ended for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots of CPL 2019 at 4th position.
