Castle Avenue

Castle Avenue, also known as Clontarf Cricket club Ground is a famous cricket ground. It is located in the suburbs of Clontarf, which is situated in Dublin in Ireland. It is a regular home for the players of the cricket ground. The old cricket players still visit the ground on a regular basis.

Castle Avenue is one of the two ODI cricket grounds of Ireland. The ground showed excess pride while hosting the first ODI match in 1999. The match was one of the main parts of the 1999 Cricket World Cup. The match was held between West Indies and Bangladesh.

The country played its first ODI at Castle Avenue on the 14th of July, 2007. Ireland had to win the match against West Indies, as the team was playing on the grounds of their motherland. The match was a part of the quadrangular series.

The ground has the capacity to hold 3,200 cheerful audiences. Castle Avenue was established in 1958, and remains a ground of honor till today. The first ODI held at the ground was between Ireland and West Indies, while last ODI was held between Ireland and Pakistan. The cricketers who had an experience of playing at the ground still cherish their memories.
