IPL T20 2008 12th match was held on 26th April in between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals. The ground to witness this match was M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Both were very strong teams who had won matches since inception of
IPL in 2008. Rajasthan Royals decided to chase RCB score after winning the toss. The bowlers gave a tough resistance to RCB batsmen who were not able to stay on pitch or even send the ball across boundary line. Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Rahul Dravid did not last long. Ross Taylor did some quick energetic batting with 6 fours and 3 sixes contributing 44 runs to the score. After him only Praveen contributed 34 runs in 30 balls with a strike rate higher than 100. After loosing 8 wickets, RCB scoreboard ticked 135 runs at 6.75 RPO.
Strong battling by Rajasthan Royals with Graeme Smith contributing 49 runs, 21 runs by Yusuf Pathan and 61 runs by Shane Watson that took to victory for in 17.1 overs. Praveen Kumar gave away 42 runs in 3 overs with 14.0 economy and took 1 wicket. The other two wickets were taken by Zaheer Khan and Sunil Joshi.
Shane Watson was awarded with Man of the Match award and 2 points for Rajasthan Royals.
