Bangladesh bowlers lead the team to a huge victory against Zimbabwe - The 2nd match of the ODI series between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe was played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong. Before this match the home team had already won its previous encounter and thus the visitors needed to bounce back in the game. After winning the toss in the match it was Bangladesh who decided to bat first.

The opening pair of Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque gave the team a great start. They together scored 158 runs for the 1st wicket in 33 overs. It was a kind of start which provided the team a base to go with the shorts. Tamim scored 76 runs while Anamul scored 80 runs. Shakib in this match failed to score any single run. The middle order failed drastically in middling the ball and hence the team failed to score many runs for the team. The Bangladesh team was able to score 251 runs in the allotted overs. Tinashe Panyangara and Tafadzwa Kamungozi were the two bowlers responsible for stopping the home team as they took 2 wickets each.

The Zimbabwe team bowled quite well in the later part of the innings but failed to get a good start while batting. They found themselves in trouble at 50/4 in just 14 overs of their innings. The Bangladeshi bowlers were on top of them and the batsmen found it difficult to score runs. It was Solomon Mire, Regis Chakabva and Elton Chigumbura who scored 50, 32 and 38 runs respectively in the middle order which helped in reducing the margin of defeat for the team. The Zimbabwe team was able to score only 183 runs as Arafat Sunny and Mashrafe Mortaza took 4 and 3 wickets respectively. The home team won the match by 68 runs and Mortaza was named as the man of the match. Bangladesh now leads the 5 match series 2-0.
