After the thrilling entertainment of the IPL, Indian cricket fans are going to experience the new high voltage drama of the T20I series between the West Indies and India in the month of July 2022. It will be the 3rd overseas tour of India after IPL where India in the West Indies will play 5 T20I matches series against West Indies as confirmed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in July 2022. This series will consist of 5 T20I out of which three matches will be contested at Trinidad and St Kitts and the remaining two matches will be played in Florida, USA. The West Indies vs India T20 series 2022 will commence with the 1st T20 which will be contested on 29th July at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad, then both the team will head over to Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad for the 2nd and 3rd T20I on 1st and 2nd August 2022, the remaining 4th and 5th matches will be held on 6th and 7th August at Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground, Lauderhill, Florida.
In 2017, when India visited West Indies, the only T20I between both the teams was played at Kingston on 9th July 2017 where West Indies defeated the Indian team by 9 wickets. Elvin Lewis became the star of that match who added undefeated 125 runs from 62 balls and became Man of the Match.
Obviously, Rohit Sharma will lead the Men in Blue under the guidance of Rahul Dravid as a head coach, on the other hand, Nicolas Pooran will take the charge of West Indies after the retirement of Keiron Pollard.
