Welcome to the 2nd match of the championship trophy, and first match of the Group B. Today two Caribbean teams, Trinidad & Tobago and Brisbane Heat played against each other. So Brisbane heat won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first Trinidad & Tobago initial start was good and LMP Simmons and E Lewis came to bat first. First wicket to fell was Simmons as he was clean bowled by the McDermott. Simmons scored 14 runs out 7 balls and the score Trinidad & Tobago was 28 runs.
Now in the crease came DM Bravo. On the other side Lewis was playing. On the very second ball Roach took the wicket of Dwayne Bravo and he goes for Duck. Now the regular wicket started to fell for the Trinidad & Tobago. But then came Dinesh Ramdin and he started to play well. But the falling wicket phenomenon kept on for this team. On the other hand Dinesh Ramdin scored very good 48 runs from 38 balls which included four 4s and two sixes. So total score of T&T is 135 runs. AC McDermott took maximum wickets from the Brisbane side and in 4 over he took 4 wickets.
Brisbane heat had to chase a very scorable total of 136 runs to win this game. The only player from their side that looked promising was JA burns as he scored 45 runs. Otherwise none of the player from any of this side was able to score any significant run. The middle and upper order of batting got completely bad performance in this game for them. In 18.4 over they all got out and were able to score of 110 runs. R Rampaul from the T&T side bowled very well and tool 4 wickets out of 3.4 over. Dinesh Ramdin was given man of the match.
