The Highveld Lions from the South Africa had debuted in the champions League T20 in the year 2010. Winning and losing two matches each it had showed a fairly good performance. Taking a break in 2011, where it did not participate, it came back again in 2012. This time it won four out of six matches and qualified to be a finalist. Though it did not win the final match but it certainly became a runner up for 2012.It is again entering as a participant in the League this session. Nation and fans have high hopes and expectations from this team.
