For the upcoming season of The Hundred in 2023, London Spirit will enter the competition with their new skipper Dan Lawrence under the guidance of their previous head coach Trevor Bayliss. The team's momentum will be carried forward with Adam Rossington and Jordan Thompson, who became the leading run-scorer and wicket-taker for London in the past 2022 season. In 2023, the franchise also added Matthew Wade and Michael Pepper for wicketkeeping.
Overseas and Wild Card Entry for London Spirit
Nathan Ellis, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Daryl Mitchell, and Matthew Wade from Australia are the overseas players for London whereas Matt Critchley and Daniel Bell-Drummond are the wild card entries for The Hundred 2023. In 2023, London Spirit will fight a total number of 8 matches in the 100 ball cricket tournament and their first match will be played at Lord's Cricket ground on 2nd August against Oval Invincibles whereas they will fight their last league game against Birmingham Phoenix at Lord’s on 24th August. London Spirit will play all 4 home games at The Lord’s cricket stadium on 2 Aug, 8 Aug, 12 Aug, and 18 Aug 2023.
London Spirit Squad in The Hundred 2022
In the 2022 version of the Hundred, the franchise kept Glenn Maxwell and Brad Wheal as overseas players. Brad Wheal is a Scotland right-arm fast bowler whereas Maxwell is an Australian all-rounder. Maxwell has proved on many occasions that he has the caliber to change the direction of the game at any time. If he stays longer on the pitch then it can be disastrous for the opposition. The skipper for the squad was England’s maiden World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan. He played all formats of crickets and was the first ever English skipper to score over four ODI centuries. Fondly dubbed as “finisher”, Morgan was excellent with his boundaries at final stages of innings.

Trevor Bayliss has been appointed as head coaching after the death of Iconic Australian all-rounder Shane Warne. A player par excellence, Warne was especially famous for his illustrious bowling records. He was also the former captain of Australian national cricket team. Warne was the 3rd highest 5-wicket haul player in international cricket. He was the winning captain of Rajasthan Royals IPL team and was later appointed as their coach.

The homevenue of the team is Lord’s, located at St. John’s Wood, London. Often dubbed as “Home of Cricket”, the stadium is one of the oldest, biggest and one of the most esteemed cricket stadiums of the world. Boasting a capacity of 31,000, the stadium was founded in 1787 by Thomas Lord and is currently under the ownership of Marylebone Cricket Club. Lord’s had its first Test in 1884 and first ODI in 1972.
