In a 100-ball cricket tournament, the Superchargers will compete against the other seven teams for a spot in the top three. England's cricket governing board has recognized the Northern Superchargers (ECB).

Under the captaincy of David Willey, the English left-arm fast-medium bowler, the N-S Chargers battled with 7 other competitors on the field in the race of reaching the top 3. David Willey had appeared in 32 T20I matches and taken 38 international wickets in the shortest format of the game.
With players like Faf du Plessis, Ben Stokes, and Adil Rashid, the squad was in good shape. James Foster, then head coach, was in charge of devising and implementing plans in order to achieve a spot in the top three.
Faf du Plessis, a former South African captain, was the N-S Chargers' abroad player.
