Ireland visited Bangladesh in March 2023 for a T20 series where both squads met for the 2nd T20I on 29 March. Bangladesh got the chance to bat first and Litton Das who opened the innings scored 83 runs in 41 balls including the fastest T20I 50 of his career.
2. Mohammad Ashraful
Mohammad Ashraful comes in 2nd place for hitting the fastest 50 in T20I for Bangladesh. He added this effort in 20 balls while playing against West Indies in Johannesburg in 2007. During the ICC T20 World Cup 2007, both teams faced each other in the 5th T20 where Bangladesh got the target of 165 runs and their captain Ashraful played a captaincy innings of 61 runs from 27 balls that helped them to win the match.
