1. Sanath Jayasuriya
The former all-rounder of Sri Lanka, Sanath Jayasuriya registered the record for making the fastest century in One Day International for Sri Lanka. He made this superb effort from just 48 balls in the match against Pakistan in Singapore in 1966. In KCA Centenary Tournament 1996, Sri Lanka faced Pakistan where Jayasuriya batted well and added 134 from 65 balls that helped them to reach a winning total of 349.
2. Sanath Jayasuriya
Sanath Jayasuriya, the former skipper of SL, is standing in the 2nd position for contributing the fastest century in ODI for Sri Lanka. He achieved this feat from just 55 balls while playing against Bangladesh in Karachi in 2008. Sanath played a significant innings of 130 which helped them to add a huge total of 332 runs in that match against Bangladesh.
3. Thisara Perera
Thisara Perera holds 3rd place for making the fastest hundred in One Day International for Sri Lanka. He added the fastest hundred of his career from just 57 balls while contesting against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui in 2019. He tried hard and made 140 runs while chasing the target of 320 against New Zealand but could achieve victory for his team.
4. Sanath Jayasuriya
Sanath Jayasuriya, the former Sri Lankan striker is sitting at the 4th position for making the quickest 100 runs in ODI for Sri Lanka. He repeated this feat and added other quick runs from just 64 balls against the Netherlands at Amstelveen in 2006. Sri Lanka got the chance to bat first and they added a total of 443 runs because of Jayasuriya’s powerpack performance of 157 runs from 104 balls.
5. Tillakaratne Dilshan
Tillakaratne Dilshan is listed in the 5th position in the list of the fastest century in One Day International in ODI for Sri Lanka. He added the fastest hundred runs of his career from 70 balls while performing against the Netherlands at Amstelveen in 2006. Sri Lanka visited the Netherlands for an ODI series in 2006 and they met for the 1st ODI where Dilshan added 117 runs from 78 balls and remained not out.
