South Africa clinch victory as match is reduced to 7 overs
Rain was a spoilt sport in the match between Sri Lanka and South Africa today. The match was reduced to seven overs an innings and ultimately the Proteas emerged as the winner beating Sri Lanka by 32 runs. Batting first South Africa started well and soon raced on to 78 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. The captain A.B. De Villiers led the team from the front scoring a quick 30 of just 13 balls. In reply Sri Lanka looked shaky in front of the strong pace line up of the Proteas. They were restricted to 46 runs of their quota of 7 overs and they lost 5 wickets in their innings. None of the Sri Lankan batsmen could put up a fight and that resulted in the victory of South Africa.
