Pakistan dominated UAE with an all-round performance - The 25th match of the World Cup 2015 was played between United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. It was a Pool B match that was being played. Pakistan needed to make this match count as they started off pretty bad in the tournament. In this match after winning the toss UAE decided to field first.
Pakistan ot a good start to their innings as Ahmed Shehzad and Haris Sohail together took the team to a score of 170 runs. Haris scored 70 runs before losing his wicket and bringing in SohaibMaqsood. Shehzad after scoring 93 runs lost his wicket but Maqsood and Misbha-ul-Haq took the team ahead. They together took the team to a score for 251 whnMaqsood lost his wicket after scoring 45 runs. Misbah scored 65 runs before losing his wicket as the team was able to post a total of 339 runs in the end of 50 overs. Shahid Afridi scored 21 runs in 7 balls and that took the game out of the hands of UAE. ManjulaGuruge took 4 wickets in the game.
UAE needed a good start to win the match but the team saw fall of quick wickets. The wickets fell pretty early. Khurram Khan and Shaiman Anwar partnered in the middle and they scored 43 and 62 runs. They showed some maturity while batting. SwapnilPatil came in next as Khurram lost his wicket but he was able to score only 36 runs. He was accompanied by Amjad Javed who scored 40 runs but the target was too high as the team managed only 210 runs at the end of 50 overs. With this Pakistan registered a win in the match by beating UAE by 129 runs. Ahmed Shehzad was named as the man of the match in this one for his superb batting display.
