28 April witnessed the 15th Match in 2008 IPL T20 tournament on M Chinnaswamy Stadium at Bangalore. It was challenged in between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings teams.  The toss was won by Chennai Super Kings who came to bat in first innings. Under the opening partnership of Parthiv Patel and Matthew Hayden, some quick scoring was seen with a few balls crossing the boundary line. But it was not to last long. Attempting to send the ball for fours and sixes, Zaheer Khan took bold out wicket of Hayden at 3.6 overs. Michael Hussey took control of the pitch and contributed 47 runs in 37 balls delivering 3 fours with 2 sixes at a strike rate of 127.02, before being dismissed by a catch taken by Rahul Dravid, again on Zaheer Khan’s bowling. Mahendra Singh Dhoni also contributed good 65 runs in 30 balls with smashing 9 fours and 3 sixes. The final score of CSK was 178 with loss of 5 wickets at 8.9 runs per over. Zaheer Khan took 3 wickets and gave away 38 runs in his 4 overs, while Dale Steyn gave a high economy of 10.

Royal Challengers Bangalore team initiated to chase CSK score with Bharat Chipli and Wasim Jaffer opening batting order. While Chipli got dismissed by a bold on Manpreet Gony’s ball, Jaffer contributed 50 runs in 33 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Ross Taylor also contributed 53 runs. The strong building up chase broke down as none of further batsmen really stood strong in pitch and no batsmen really contributed even a 2 digit score. The whole RCB team was all down in 19.4 overs with a final total of 165 runs. Gony, Palani Amarnath and Joginder Sharma took most wickets. CSK won the match by 13 runs taking a lead by 2 points.
