RCB return to winning ways riding on their bowlers performance - The 26th match of the Indian Premiere League was played at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in New Delhi. The Delhi Daredevils previously broke their home jinx by winning their home game and today they took on the challenge from Royal Challengers Bangalore. The game was an important one for the home side as RCB lately were emerging as the tough team to beat. In this game the RC B won the toss and decided to field first.
Opening pair has always been a problem for the home team and in this match yet again the home team lost the opening pair early. Shreyas Iyer lost his wicket without scoring a single run. Jean Paul Duminy the captain came into bat and along with Mayank Agarwal took his team to a score of 36 runs in 5 overs. In the next over he lost his wicket after scoring only 13 runs. The middle order increased the problems for Delhi as they were struggling at 39/4. Agarwal after scoring a hard fought 27 runs lost his wicket. Kedha Jadhav was the lone batsmen in the middle order who scored 33 runs and helped his team reach a score of 95 as Mitchell Starc and co finished the Delhi batsmen. Starc took 3 wickets in the match while Varun Aaron took 2 wickets.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore opened with Chris Gayle and Virat Kholi. These two batsmen had a great amount of time to find their lost form as the target was too low. The batsmen made sure that the opportunity was not wasted and they batted the whole innings out scoring 99 runs in 10.3 overs. Kohli scored 35 runs off 23 balls while Gayle scored 62 runs off 40 balls. With this Bangalore won the game with a clinical performance.
Chris Gayle was given the Yes bank Maximum Sixes award while Varun Aaron was named as the man of the match.
