There will be a T20 International series of 3 matches between Ireland and South Africa in Ireland in July of 2021. South African board has confirmed their Ireland tour for limited over cricket. The series will be very important for the South African team before ICC T20 World Cup.
The current form of the South African team is a big point of concern for fans. They have lost the series by 2-1 to Pakistan. England has also defeated South Africa in T20s in South Africa. South African team will look forward to finding their winning form again and to dominate in the series against Ireland. Ireland team is also strong and will have the advantage of playing at home. They will also have pressure to perform in front of their home fans. Adam Balbirnie will lead the host Ireland and Quinton de Kock will be the captain of South African team. The squad of both teams are not announced yet.
The 1st match of the series will be held on July 19, 2021, at The Village, Ireland. Both teams will try to win the opening match of the series and will have quality action to watch in the match. The 2nd match of the series will be played on July 22, 2021, at Stormont Stadium, Ireland. This ground of Ireland is not very big and hence a good high scoring match is expected. The 3rd or last match of the series will be played on July 24, 2021, at the same venue Stormont Stadium.
This match can also be series-deciding. Ireland team is also very good and has quality players. South African team is favourite in the series but Ireland will give a tough fight to South Africa and it will not be easy for South Africa to win the series. They will have to work hard to win the series.
