The Pakistan and South African cricket team will play an International Test series of 2 matches at Pakistan in January-February of 2021. The series will be very important for both teams and will decide their positions in ICC Test Championship table. South African team is all set to tour Pakistan after 14 years. The pitch conditions are very favourable for batting.
Babar Azam will be the captain of host team Pakistan and Quinton de Kock will lead the visiting team South Africa. The squad of both teams is not announced till now. The 1st match of the series will be held on January 26-30, 2021 at National Stadium Karachi. Both teams are very balanced and experienced and will try to dominate over each other. Pakistan will have advantage of playing at home but the records are in favour of South Africa. South African team dominated over Pakistan in history of Test cricket. It will be a battle between quality seam bowlers of Pakistan and new young batting attack of South Africa. The 2nd or last Test match of the series will be played on February 4-8, 2021 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The Rawalpindi ground is very good for batting and the pitch behaviour is also very balanced for both batting and bowling.
There will be no lateral movement for bowlers on the surface and batsmen will love to score big runs here. It will also be a mini battle between two quality captains. Both Babar Azam and Quinton de Kock have outstanding record for their countries. Babar Azam is in great form and showed his talent to everyone with his top class innings against quality teams. Babar Azam and de Kock have to lead their team from front to win the series. Pakistan batting is very much dependent on Babar Azam’s individual performance.
