Good bowling performance leads to the third win for the Guyana Amazon Warriors - The Guyana Amazon Warriors and St Lucia Zouks came face to face in the 7th match of the tournament. The Zouks were playing their second match in the tournament while the warriors were featuring in their third match. Before the match Warriors has won both of the games while Zouks were still looking for their 1st win in the tournament. After winning the toss Amazon Warriors selected to field first. While batting first the Zouks had a terrible start to their innings as they lost 3 wickets in the first 6 overs of the match. The team managed to score only 29 runs losing 3 wickets. The wicket never stopped coming as by the end of the 15th over the team had already lost 7 wickets scoring only 79 runs. Once it seemed the team will be bowled out below 100 run marks but Sohail Tanvir and Mervin Mathew batted brilliantly. The Zouks managed to score 117 runs before being bowled out in the 20th overs. Krishmar Santokie was the top bowler taking 4 wickets in just 3.2 overs giving away 11 runs.

The low score chase got a great start from the batsman of the Amazon Warriors. Lendl Simmons and Martin Guptill gave the team a great start as the opening par scored 76 runs in just 9 overs. Simmons in the start of the 10th over was bowled by Darren Sammy but it was too late for the Zouks. Mohammad Hafeez and Guptill later on easily helped the team to cruise towards their 3rd victory in the tournament. Krishmar Santokie was named as the player of the match for his great bowling performance. The Zouks with this loss now are placed in the bottom of the table while the Warriors reached the top of the table after match 7 of CPL 2014.
