The match 44 of IPL 7 has been kicked off at MOTERA, AHMEDABAD between RAJASTHAN ROYALS and MUMBAI INDIANS in which MI played an outstanding team game to outrun RR by 25 runs. However, Mi batted first in the match and Mr. Cricket MICHAEL HUSSEY gave a incredible performance in his style after coming back into the team. He scored 56 runs in just 39 balls and Lendl Simmons supported him on his way to make a strong opening partnership for Mumbai. Simmons 62 runs in 51 balls. In the back end of the first innings Rohit Sharma (C) took some calculated risk to score valuable 40 runs in just 19 balls and MI managed to put up a high score of 178 runs on their score board.

RR bowlers failed to perform in the match as they did in the other matches of IPL 7. Among the bowlers of Rajasthan only Ankit Sharma claimed two wickets by just giving 23 runs in his allotted 4 overs.

While chasing a big target of 179 runs without ajinkya rahane in the team, RR’s batsman absolutely failed to put up a decent performance. Experiment with the team didn’t clicked at all for RR against MI as Unmukt Chand the new man in the team went to pavilion by just scoring 2 runs in 9 balls. However, Karun Nair once again played a extra ordinary innings of 48 runs in just 24 balls with the strike rate of 200.00. After losing the Unmukt Chand’ wicket, wickets kept on falling for RR as Shane Watson (C), Sanju Samson (W), Kevon Cooper, Ankit Sharma, Stuart Binny, they well went early by just scoring one digit runs. In the near end of the second innings Brad Hodge (40 runs of 30 balls) and James Faulkner (31 of 21 balls) tried to produce some quick runs, but that was a impossible task for them to win the match at that point.

Krishmar Santokie, Pragyan Ojha, Harbhajan Singh and Shreyas Gopal bowled in a decent way as they claimed 8 wickets equally.

Well, the Man of the Match award was given to MICHAEL HUSSEY, he is definitely the new hope in the blue-gold horizon.
