Australia will be touring New Zealand in the year 2016 and would be playing two tests as a part of the test series. Initially, 3 tests were to be played in New Zealand but later on they were reduced to two. First test will be played at basin reserve Wellington and the second one will be organized at HAGLEY OVAL Christchurch. Last time when the two teams met in the test series in Australia, both won each match and it ended in a thrilling draw.
As far as the teams are concerned, Australia will be playing in the backyard of the KIWIS, therefore home team would be favorites. In spite of the conditions loaded in favor of the black caps, discounting the chances of the tourists would be foolhardy. With bowlers like MITCHELL STARC and Johnson in ranks, Australia can suddenly spring a surprise with Yorkers and pacy bouncers.
For New Zealanders, TRENT BOULT will be the trump card in bowling as he has the ability to swing the ball in both ways and also seam it off the surface. Other bowlers would rally around him to help however Australians look more incisive and penetrative. At the top of the order DAVID Warner looks impressive but how he performs on the swinging pitches of New Zealand remains to be seen.
Another player that can be very useful in New Zealand is GLEN MAXWELL who can deliver magnificent hits for sixes and fours. Only very high quality bowling can pin him down. KEN WILLIAMSON, one of the world cup heroes will have to play a bigger role in ensuring stability at the middle order and also scoring runs. ROSS TAYLOR will be more than handy for the home team if the batting conditions are difficult. Both teams appear to be balanced but home advantages to the black caps cannot be ruled out.
