Netherland’s tour of Scotland ends up in a draw - The Netherland tour of Scotland ended up in a draw as both the teams managed to win 1 game each. The third and the final match ended up producing no result as rain didn’t allow the toss to take place. The first match was won by the visitors. Batting first they managed to put up a score of 252. The Dutch opener Michael Swart was the top scorer in the match scoring 62 runs. some late show from Michael Rippon also helped the cause as other players failed to show some resistance. The Scottish side while chasing the score of 252 started off well scoring 157 runs losing only 3 wickets. The home side was well on route but a dramatic down fall saw the Dutch win the match. the Scottish middle order collapsed dramatically thus the whole team was bowled out at the score of 208. Mudassar Bukhari and Paul van Meekeren took 3 wickets each.

The second match of the tour was played the very next day. The home side was put into bat by the visitors. The decision of bowling first paid off really well as the visitors kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. It was Calum MacLeod who made all the difference in the match. he scored 145 runs from just 124 balls hitting 14 fours and 4 sixes in the innings. With the help of his innings the home team managed to put up a massive score of 317 on the board. Ahsan Malik the Dutch bowler managed to take six wickets in the match. The visitors got a good solid base to chase the big score scoring 52 runs losing only 2 wickets in the process. Soon the weather changes proved too costly for the visitors and they lost wickets quickly. The 7th wicket fell at a score of 102 and the game was stopped by rain in the 23rd over at a score of 115/7. Thus the Scottish side won the game by D/L method. Thus the series ended up with both the team sharing the honors.
